Develop the work processes, procedures, audit protocols, and assessment tools necessary to drive continuous improvement in contractor’s Motor Vehicle Standard (MVS)
Develop MVS scorecards for each contractor
Inspect contractor vehicle maintenance facilities, equipment, and tools for compliance with RoK, industry, and manufacturing maintenance standards
Verify routine maintenance procedures are adequate and being implemented in line with equipment manufacturer requirements
Verify training and experience of contractor mechanics
Carry out onsite inspections of heavy equipment and operators
Verify operator shifts allow for avoidance of fatigue
Check routine daily inspections at site are being robustly applied and items flagged for attention are timeously rectified
Audit dispatcher protocols for control of drivers and equipment operators to ensure fatigue management is effective
Verify contractor loading and lashing procedures are adequate to guarantee loads are secure
Review and recommend improvements as necessary contractor journey planning particularly for heavy and oversize loads
Assess the quality of contractor MVS training program and develop Action Items to improve
Review their third party contract language and inspection process utilized to verify leased equipment obtained complies with TCOs MVS standard
Review contractor’s vehicle/heavy equipment replacement guidelines and verify it conforms to TCO’s MVS
